The 2010 NFL Season Opener is finally here, as the Minnesota Vikings head down to New Orleans to face the Saints in a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship Game overtime thriller.
The Saints are fresh off the greatest season in franchise history as they capped it off with a victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV.
And, it seems like they will pick off right where they left off.
On the team’s first drive, Drew Brees threw a 27-yard touchdown pass to Devry Henderson. He had command of the huddle, and ran their spread offense very efficiently.
Barring an infamous Madden Curse, he seems to be poised for an MVP-like season.

Brady attended this morning’s walk-through and was in meetings today. A team spokesman says he is “OK.” That is Brady’s car, to the right, from Herald photog John McMahon. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady emerged unscathed from a car accident Thursday morning and was expected to attend a team practice later in the day. The two-car accident occurred three blocks away from Brady’s home in Boston. A passenger in the other vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries after having to be freed using the Jaws of Life. The crash occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. EDT when emergency crews responded to reports of an accident between an Audi sedan being driven by Brady and a minivan. Photos are rolling in of the scene of the accident that New England Patriots QB Tom Brady was involved in on Thursday morning.
Hannah LeStrange told the Boston Globe that she heard the accident happen. “It was just really high-impact, you could tell. The front of the Audi (Brady’s car) was off,” she said.
Among the photos:
A Yfrog (photo site) use posted two photos, one which shows fire department personnel appearing at the scene.
The Globe has a photo that details the damage to the front end of Brady’s car.
